Tuesday is the NFL trade deadline, giving teams around the league a final chance to buy or sell players.
ESPN’s Mike Greenberg thinks the Dallas Cowboys should do the latter — with their star player.

Speaking on “Get Up!” on Tuesday, Greenberg argued that the Cowboys should trade linebacker Micah Parsons.
“I’m going to say this, and then I’m going to duck for fear of the reaction I’m going to get. The Dallas Cowboys are as done as done can be … The Dallas Cowboys should trade Micah Parsons.”
Jeff Saturday wasn’t having it.
“You have way lost your mind,” he said to Greenberg. “You have way lost your mind.”
“I’m old enough to remember when they traded Herschel Walker, Herschel Walker,” Greenberg argued. “They got back a king’s ransom and Jimmy Johnson built that into a dynasty.”
The Cowboys are 3-5 and will be without an injured Dak Prescott for the next few weeks, leaving Jerry Jones’ front office with decisions to make: stay all-in for this year or start over again in 2025.
It wouldn’t be surprising the Cowboys decide to part with players who aren’t a part of the team’s longterm plan, and instead receive some potential draft capital for next year. But Parsons is a central part of Dallas’ defense and would require a major haul in return. Trading him is very unlikely to happen.
